Walkies galore!
We have all the facilities you need to ensure your dog has a fantastic stay with us. With 20 acres of grounds and a dedicated dog agility course, there’s lots of space for some sedate walks at Homewood with more challenging terrain right on our doorstep.
When you arrive we will have a specially prepared Woof Box ready, filled with Lily’s Kitchen food, treats and a ball. We will also provide doggie beds and bowls – all for just an extra £35.
You can dine with your dog from the full Olio menu in our bar, lounges or conservatory. Your pooch can also sample the delights from our ever-changing dog menu.
Dog agility course
We’ve carefully crafted a fun-filled dog agility zone to keep our furry friends healthy and active even when lounging around our divine country house estate. Surrounded by beautiful greenery and views over the Avon Valley, it’s the perfect way to get those tails-wagging before a delicious dinner.
Unleash your dog's inner athlete as they navigate our agility course, honing their coordination, balance, and focus. Watch their delight as they conquer obstacles, conquer jumps, weave through poles, and dash through tunnels. It's a fantastic way for them to burn off energy and exercise in a safe and controlled environment.
Dog Grooming
At Homewood, we understand that your furry companion deserves the best care and attention. Our dedicated team of professional groomers are here to pamper your pooch and ensure they look and feel their absolute best.
With a deep appreciation for the unique needs of different breeds and sizes, we offer a wide range of grooming services tailored to suit your dog. From basic grooming essentials such as baths, brushing, and nail trims to more specialized services like breed-specific haircuts, our experts are skilled in handling every aspect of your dog's grooming journey.
Dog Sitting
Forget the guilt of kennels and let your furry friend experience a tail-wagging getaway. Explore Bath's historic gems or retreat to the spa while our paw-fectly trained and experienced pet sitters shower your pooch with walks, playtime, and even training.
Dog Day Creche
While you take a break and relax, rest assured that your dog is receiving top-notch care. They can enjoy an adventure walk in the woods or around the hotel grounds, make friends, and play games in our purpose-built dog creche. The creche is open Monday–Friday from 9am-5pm, with the option to book a sitter for longer days.
Terms and conditions
We understand that for many people, their dogs are part of their family and we want them to feel welcome here at the Homewood, in fact, we don’t just welcome them we recommend that you bring them along and have designed our hotel based on your pooch getting the best out of their stay too!
We are more than happy to welcome well-behaved dogs in the hotel, but we respectfully ask dog owners to help us respect the sensitivities of all visitors, by asking you to adhere to the following guidelines when visiting us.
General house rules
We welcome all dogs in all areas of the hotel. Dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times when inside the building or outside on the grounds, in accordance with all UK dog laws. Please be aware that there is wildlife in the gardens that dogs may chase such as rabbits and deer. Any damage caused by your dog will incur a repair or full cleaning charge. Waste bins are provided in the car park of the hotel and elsewhere on the grounds. Please pick up after your dog. We are unable to accommodate dogs who are aggressive or who continually bark and disturb other guests. Any dog showing signs of aggression or who bites another person will be reported to the local police and be removed from the premises.
Staying with your dog
You are welcome to bring your dog to stay with you in one of our rooms charged at £25 per pet, per night. We will provide a blanket, bed, bowls and welcome pack in your room but you are of course welcome to bring your own dog bed and bowls for your four-legged friend. Please let our team know if you are leaving your dog unattended in your room for any reason. Alternatively, ask about our dog sitters who can take your dog for a walk or sit in your room with them.
Dining with your dog
You are welcome to bring your dog with you when you dine Please ask a member of our Reception team to book you a table and let them know you wish to bring your dog. We have a delicious dog menu, ask for more details when you arrive at your table.

Banned Breeds Policy
In the UK, it’s against the law to own certain types of dog. These are the:
Pit Bull Terrier
Japanese Tosa
Dogo Argentino
Fila Brasileiro
XL Bully
If you plan to bring a dog with you for your stay that is a a banned breed under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and/or as subsequently amended within the United Kingdom the following guidelines are strictly adhered to whilst the dog is visiting Homewood.
1. The dog is registered with The Index of Exempted Dogs (IED) and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided to us before the stay.
2. A copy of the Public Liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained and provided to us before the stay.
3. The dog-to-handler ratio is 1:1 at all times.
4. All guidelines under The Index of Exempted Dogs are strictly adhered to and the dog must be:
i. Neutered.
ii. Microchipped.
iii. Kept on a lead no greater than 1 meter in length and muzzled at all times when in a public place.
iv. Kept in a secure place so it cannot escape.
